β Back to homeTwo incredible parks, one walkable resort β Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, right across the esplanade from each other in Anaheim. This is your planning home base: printable guides, park strategy, and everything you need to make the most of the original Happiest Place on Earth.
Before anything else, get the official Disneyland app on your phone and link your whole party. It's your key to wait times, mobile food ordering, park maps, dining, PhotoPass, and booking Lightning Lane on the day.
Already booked with me? Once your tickets are purchased I'll walk you through linking them so everything lives in one place.
I've built these just for you β tap to open, then save or print for your park day. Each one distills the details that actually matter, minus the fluff.
The full skip-the-line playbook β Multi Pass, Single Pass & Premier Pass explained, how to book and stack return times, and which passes are worth it for your days.
Open guideQuick service, table service, and character dining across both parks, Downtown Disney, and the hotels β plus mobile ordering and must-try snacks and treats.
Open guideEvery ride land-by-land with height requirements, thrill vs. family picks, top attractions, entertainment, and a printable Perfect Park Day planner.
Open guideThe big-picture decisions that shape a great Disneyland trip. Have a question on any of these? That's exactly what I'm here for.
Crowds run high most of the year, but you'll find calmer days outside major school breaks β think mid-January to February, May, and late August through mid-October. Weekdays (especially TuesdayβThursday) beat weekends, though weekends bring the most nighttime entertainment.
I usually recommend 3β4 days for a first visit so you can enjoy both parks at a relaxed pace, or 2β3 for return guests. A true once-in-a-lifetime trip? Five days lets you savor the parks, hotels, and Downtown Disney.
Every guest still needs a park reservation for the first park they visit each day β on top of a valid ticket. You can hold reservations for multiple days and amend or cancel as needed. I'll make sure yours are set.
With a Park Hopper ticket you can now bounce between Disneyland and California Adventure any time of day β the old 11 a.m. wait is gone. Since the parks are a short walk apart, hopping is the best way to see it all.
One-day prices are date-based and tiered; multi-day tickets lower your cost per day. Visiting several times a year? A Magic Key (annual pass) may pay off. I'll price your options and handle the purchase for you.
John Wayne/Santa Ana (SNA) is the closest airport; Long Beach (LGB) is a solid backup. Driving in? Resort parking runs about $40/day at the Mickey & Friends and Toy Story lots (rates subject to change).
The original park Walt built β home to opening-day classics and beloved icons across Main Street U.S.A., Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Bayou Country, Tomorrowland, Toontown, and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. This is the heart of it all.
Right across the esplanade, DCA blends California charm with big-IP lands like Cars Land, Avengers Campus, Pixar Pier, and San Fransokyo Square β plus the nighttime World of Color spectacular. Great thrills and some of the best food at the resort.
Arriving before opening β up to an hour early to clear security β means the shortest waits of the day on the headliners. It's the single easiest way to ride more and wait less, whether or not you buy Lightning Lane. Your Rides guide maps out exactly what to hit first.
Here's the orientation β your printable guides above go deeper on both.
Three options: Multi Pass (reserve return times at ~22 rides across both parks, from ~$32/person/day), Single Pass (pay-per-ride for Rise of the Resistance & Radiator Springs Racers), and Premier Pass (ride everything once, no reservations, at a premium). Checked-in resort hotel guests get one complimentary Multi Pass selection per person, per stay in 2026. Full strategy is in your Lightning Lane guide.
Book table-service and character meals up to 60 days in advance β the most popular spots (Blue Bayou, Oga's Cantina, character breakfasts) go fast, so plan around the 60-day mark. Quick-service spots take mobile orders through the app. Everything's laid out in your dining guide.
Three hotels sit right on Disney property, plus a wealth of good-value options a short walk away. I'll match you to the right fit for your budget and travel style.
The original resort hotel by Downtown Disney β retro-themed pools, monorail waterslides, and Goofy's Kitchen character dining. A walkable stroll to the parks.
The premium, Arts-and-Crafts flagship with the best location of the three β and its own private entrance into California Adventure. Home to Storytellers Cafe, Napa Rose, and a full spa.
The most recently renovated (and typically most affordable) Disney hotel, with the newest rooms, a Finding Nemoβthemed pool, and poolside fireworks viewing on select nights.
Unlike other Disney resorts, Anaheim has excellent third-party hotels a short walk from the gates β often closer and cheaper than staying on property. A smart option if you mainly need a comfortable home base.
Through October 31, 2026, both parks get a not-so-spooky, festive makeover β and most of it is included with regular admission. If your trip lands this fall, here's what's waiting.
The separately-ticketed after-hours party at California Adventure (about 6β11 PM on select nights) with villain treat trails, character encounters, and low ride waits β plus the new Madame Leota's Swinging Wake street party for 2026.
The little things that make a long park day easier β all mappable in the Disneyland app under Guest Services.
One in each park with nursing rooms, changing tables, highchairs, and a small shop for essentials. Also the reunification point for lost children.
Nurse-staffed offices in both parks for minor remedies, over-the-counter meds, and refrigerated medication storage.
Available near the Disneyland entrance (first-come, first-served). Bringing your own or renting from a hotel-delivery company is often more convenient.
Free service so an adult can wait with a non-riding child while the rest of the party rides β then swap without waiting in line twice.
Offered on select attractions to fill empty seats β often a big wait-time saver if your group is happy to ride separately.
Skip the register by ordering quick-service food in the app, and stash extras in lockers inside or just outside the parks.
There are quiet stretches between booking and your trip β that's normal. Here's what's next, so you always know the plan.
